Video and Recording Policy

Version 1.0.0 · Effective LEGAL_REVIEW_REQUIRED

In short

Your responsibility

Before uploading, make sure that you recorded the footage yourself or have permission from the person or club who did, and that recording was allowed at the venue and competition. You also need any consent required from people who can be identified, in particular minors and their guardians.

Visibility

Every upload starts as private. You can add a video to your Passport, or share it with one specific scout for a limited time. Team-only and unlisted-link sharing are not available. Before media becomes visible beyond you, PitchProof shows a warning and a preview of who will be able to see it, and asks you to confirm that you have the right to share it. Players aged 13 to 17 can add media to their Passport only if their guardian has allowed it.

The first time you upload, PitchProof asks you to acknowledge this policy. PitchProof records that acknowledgement with the policy version.

Processing

Uploaded files first go to a protected quarantine area. Our servers check the file type, container, codecs, duration, resolution and size before the file is moved to your private storage. Files that fail these checks are rejected and deleted. These checks are not a malware or virus scan, and PitchProof does not claim to perform one.

Analysis

If you request AI analysis, frames are extracted from your video on our servers and sent to an AI provider under the conditions in the AI Use Policy. Computer-vision tracking of individual players is not available at this time and is marked as such in your report.

People who appear in videos

If you appear in a video on PitchProof, or a minor in your care does, you can report it with the reason "I appear in this video" or "A minor appears in this video", including without a PitchProof account. While a report is under review the video may be hidden from public view.

Removal

You can delete your media at any time. Deleted media is removed from storage, including derived frames and highlight files, as described in the Data Retention Policy.
