Reporting and Takedown Policy
- Anything on PitchProof can be reported, and people in videos can report without an account.
- Reports about minors are reviewed first.
- Reported content may be hidden while it is reviewed.
- You are told the outcome and can appeal decisions about your own content.
What you can report
Users, videos, reels, Passports, scouts, evidence requests, trials and scouting reports. Reasons include harassment, inappropriate contact, impersonation, copyright, privacy, "I appear in this video", "A minor appears in this video", spam and anything else that breaks the Community Guidelines.
How reports are handled
- Triage: reports involving minors, sexual content or threats are reviewed first.
- Restriction: if needed, the content is temporarily hidden from public view while it is reviewed.
- Review and decision: PitchProof staff decide whether to dismiss, restrict, remove, warn, suspend, disable or escalate.
- Notification: the reporter and the affected user are told the outcome, without revealing the reporter. People who reported without an account and left an email receive one update by email, after which the address is deleted.
- Appeal: the affected user can appeal once from the Privacy Center. A different staff member reviews the appeal.
Every staff action is recorded with a reason in an audit log.
Urgent danger
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Content that suggests child abuse is given the highest review priority. The process for referring such content to the competent authorities is LEGAL_REVIEW_REQUIRED.
Reporting without an account
People who appear in a video, or their parents or guardians, can use the public report form on the PitchProof website without signing in.
